With our dental care for all ages, we at the office of William L. Toler DMD proudly meet the needs of our adult and pediatric patients by focusing on the methods, treatments, and requirements that are geared to each. That’s the commitment of our 31093 family dentist to optimal dental health for everyone.
The foundation of oral wellness starts at home. Adults should brush upon waking, and again before bed; flossing is also essential at bedtime. Children should brush after meals, too. And for all ages, avoiding too much sugar is vital. Come in to see our 31093 family dentist two times per year. A visual and physical inspection of teeth and gums combined with taking digital x-rays serves to detect cavities early, while filling them is most effective. And children are more prone to the effects of tooth decay. Sealants are an extra layer of protection that should be considered for children. Our 31093 family dentist makes it a priority to oversee the transition from baby teeth to adult teeth, and a big part of that is ensuring that the baby teeth do not have to come out too soon from the effects of decay. Children also will benefit from our friendly and welcoming office environment, and the patience of our staff. Keep in mind that adult attitudes about dentistry are created in the formative years. Six month dental cleanings are also important for all ages. Plaque and tartar are the cause of both tooth decay and gum disease. What is not removed from at-home oral hygiene needs to be eliminated before your teeth and gums become threatened. For our adult patients, we offer a wide range of services, such as root canal therapy, crowns, bridges and implants, laser therapy, extractions, and much more.
You can count on our 31093 family dentist as your expert for both you and your children. Contact us to arrange an appointment.
If you want to make sure that your teeth and gums stay healthy, you will want to have a great at-home dental cleaning regimen, and visit our dental practice, William L. Toler DMD, for biannual dental exams and teeth cleanings. Our 31093 dentist, Dr. William Toler, will review the health of your teeth and gums at each dental exam.
As part of your regular dental exam by our 31093 dentist, our dentist examines the health of your gums. If our dentist finds that you are developing gingivitis, a common precursor to gum disease, he most likely will recommend that you have several regular teeth cleanings over the coming months to help your gums return to good health. Gingivitis is caused when plaque builds up on the gum line and irritates the gums. Plaque is also the cause of dental cavities. For this reason, it is extremely important that you have regular teeth cleanings so that all plaque and tartar can be removed from your teeth. Even with the very best at-home dental cleaning regimen, some plaque will always remain on teeth. During our dental cleanings, plaque will not only be removed from the surface of your teeth, but from in-between the teeth and from just below the gum line. If our dentist finds that deep pockets have developed between the teeth and gums, and plaque, tartar, food debris and bacteria are all gathering in the deep pockets, you will need to have a periodontal scaling and root planing treatment. This type of cleaning is like a deep cleaning for the gums which should help your gums return to good health in mild to moderate cases of gum disease. If you come to our dental practice for dental exams and teeth cleanings every six months, it greatly reduces your chance of ever developing gum disease or other serious dental problems.

Everyone is born with a unique smile, though certain smiles develop differently than others. This may manifest in cosmetics differences, medical problems, and other such situations that affect the overall appearance of a person’s teeth. With the help of our dentist in Warner Robins, William L. Toler DMD, you can explore options like dental veneers and how they can transform your smile once and for all.
Cosmetic dental work is more common than you think, and it can be used to help improve the appearance of your teeth as well as your overall dental health in certain situations. When it comes to purely cosmetic procedures, it’s important that you discuss these options with your dentist and that you have your dental health evaluated to determine whether you are eligible for a procedure. Depending on the nature of your cosmetic issues, there may be different solutions that are better suited for your needs. For people who have more widespread cosmetic issues or aesthetic problems with many or all of their teeth, then veneers may be a great solution. Veneers can help to give you a complete smile makeover since they cover up issues with your entire smile and provide you with a completely new one. Veneers are porcelain shells that can be fixed to your natural teeth, but exude the appearance of a perfect smile. Our dentist in Warner Robins, William L. Toler DMD, can look at your teeth and determine whether veneers is a viable option for you. If so, then Dr. Tolar can begin designing your personalized veneers and prepping your teeth so that they can be set into place.
Veneers are a great cosmetic solution for people who have small gaps between teeth, slightly crooked teeth, damaged or decayed teeth, uneven or misshapen teeth, yellow or discolored teeth, broken or chipped teeth, or any combination of the above. To learn more about veneers and other cosmetic procedures, call us here at the offices of William L. Toler DMD and book an appointment with our dentist in Warner Robins today.
